From a recent day of fun in Vancouver.

It was pretty intimidating to be under this bird’s stare.  Amputated right wing or no, I’m pretty sure I’d be on the screaming-like-a-little-baby end of a battle with her.

Also, as owl’s eyes are shaped like tubes, rather than spheres as our eyes are, they track with their entire heads, so it was very clear when she’d locked onto a “target.”
