Strobist: onboard flash, full power

And holy CRAP, this little guy was fast.

I spent a good twenty minutes chasing him inside stacks of cinder blocks, under burnt logs and through grass, and this is one of only two not-completely-sucky shots I managed to get of him.

That is to say, most of the shots are of cinder blocks, burnt logs and grass, with the occasional half inch of lizard tail exiting the frame.

When he finally got close enough for me to get a good shot, he was under dark shadow so, in desperation, I popped the onboard flash, and it really helped. I guess those things work sometimes.

Two snaps, and then he was gone.

He moved like a really fast little lizard, only hopped up on caffeine and put on fast forward with a fire under his butt.

So, he was, like, really fast.
