Look for an update to this post — to be titled “Pebble Time (after)” — this summer. The photo will be similar, but the watch will be somewhat different.

This was my birthday present. I’m one lucky Bud. It is indeed a hand-coloured paper watch with a pebble hotglued to the centre and four beads on the bezel corners.
The design/cutting/pebble/colouring is courtesy of my wifey. The beads are courtesy of my kidlet.
And this lovely homemade gift represents a Pebble Time smartwatch, which begins shipping in May, one of which will be coming my way. Happy birthday to me! =)
In the meantime, I’ll be wearing this version and trying to be very gentle with it; it’s already suffered a few folds and tears. The real watch should be a smidge more durable.
As someone on the internet says, “This is what happens when rock, paper and scissors work together.” HAH!
=)
