Meet my Tamron 60mm f/2 macro, brought on board to replace my beloved and sooper-useful Tamron 17-50, which unexpectedly came out of my camera case all discombobulated a few months ago.
My new 60mm is designed as a macro lens and, though I bought it to shoot more portraits (which macro lenses also excel at, due to their shallow depth of field), the novelty of shooting stuff at 1:1 (the object I’m shooting appears as big on my camera sensor as it is in real life) is tough to resist, so I’m betting there’s gonna be a good deal of macro madness appearing on the gallery in the near future.
