Unless you’re Lafarge, the cement and construction materials company which owns this barge. The year might not be starting so happily in that case.
It seems that right around the ol’ switchover between 2008 and 2009, this listing giant, known as Warrior, was being towed through Enterprise Channel, just off Oak Bay, when it fell and couldn’t get up.
And there it stayed for four days while water was pumped out of it and tugboat after tugboat tried to, well, tug it free, which finally happened on Sunday.
