“Trash the dress” is a fun trend of putting your formalwear through trials normally reserved for less expensive clothing for the sake of fun photos.
For years, I asked my couples if they had any interest in doing a trash the dress session post-wedding.
My request was generally met by raised eyebrows, uncomfortable body language and, in that one case, a restraining order. *
Eventually, I stopped asking.
Then, out of nowhere comes Julie, who up and asks me for a trash the dress session, and man oh man . . . what an amazing time it was.
* – that was a joke

What a ridiculously fun time. How often can someone say they get to do stuff like this?
And, ya gotta admit: most brides won’t ever have a photo like this.

And what do you do when two divers offer to join your bridal subject in a photo while she’s knee-deep in seawater?
YOU SAY YES.

Jon (the groom) had an avid baseball player for a father. He played baseball his whole life, and later coached Jon and his brother Chris for a number of years. He died 12 years ago, and Julie + Jon wanted to honor him in a way that was unique and special.
Jon had given glove to his son, Jack, as a lasting link to his grandfather. So, rather than carrying the rings in on a pillow, Jack walked them down the aisle in this glove.

We did some of the formals at Julie’s former workplace, Boston Pizza. There’s nothin’ like a bride at a pizza shop to garner some odd looks.

Behind her is all the couples in the family she’s married.

Julie’s married name will be Jones. They’ll be a pair of Joneses together.
Thus, Jones soda was plentiful at their wedding.
