Warning: This week’s post contains extreme cuteness, the likes of which may cause you to involuntarily squeak multiple times.

Meet Dylan and his ridiculously adorable son, Iver. I’d been wanting to work with these two for a bit, and recently got my opportunity. Dylan is one of those people I first connected with on Facebook but, when time I met him in person (it was at Sugar Nightclub), the first thing he did was offer to buy me a beer. What a class act.

Dylan and Iver have had quite a road to travel to get them to today, but these are the moments I was hoping to catch. The simple, perfect, face-smooshing moments of kidlet and parent. SMOOSH.

Iver was born three months premature. So, while his birthday is technically February 8, when his developmental markers are taken (how he’s doing with speech, movement, etc.), he’s actually given an adjusted age of 9 months. Having had the good fortune of being the Papa to a healthy, on-time baby girl, I’m both fascinated and awed by this.
Being born three months ahead of schedule has done nothing to hold back this kid’s cuteness, though. =)

This is Dylan, Iver, and Moet. There’s another pug in the house named August but, unfortunately, she must’ve sensed my fear (despite how well I think I’ve gotten at burying it) and was all up in my grill, so she had to go for a time out while this photo was being taken.
Moet is hilarious. I’ve met pugs before. I’ve met excitable pugs before. I’ve met small excitable pugs before. But I’ve never met a big excitable pug before.
Big excitable pug + all out run to meet the new person + smooth floors = CLATTER CLATTER CLATTER SKIIIIIID WHAM!
Moet very literally knocked me on my butt running in to me (I was crouching trying to get a shot). Hilarious.

This house is full of love and adorableness, and I felt very privileged to be invited in for this shoot. The weather outside was frightful, so we hope to pick up with an outdoor mini-session on a less torrential day in the near future.
