KISS completely lived up to the hype at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre. Holy crap. What a concert.

From a photographer’s standpoint, I’ve got to hand it to Gene and the boys for totally playing it up for the cameras. Beyoncé, they’re not. They want great photos taken, and they make sure they pose it up good.

The standard concert photographer allowance is “first three songs, from the pit, no flash.” Sometimes you get more songs, sometimes less, sometimes you have to shoot from the soundboard halfway down the venue and, on rare occurrences, you get to shoot the whole show.
We were only granted two songs for KISS, but it didn’t much matter. Two from the pit was more than enough, ’cause everyone on stage knew they were being photographed, and played up accordingly.

Gene posed specifically for each and every photographer in the pit tonight and, therefore, we all got killer shots of KISS. Win/win.
