The day of the pillow fight, was a weird one, weather-wise.
From bright sun to torrential rain, whipping winds and, at one point, hail on the Malahat.
However, one of the great things about weird weather days is the possibility of what I like to call Side Sun And Awesome Clouds™.
That’s when the sky is made up of mostly dark, gloomy, ominous clouds, but the sun shines in from the side, underneath the clouds, usually during the sunrise or sunset.
This gives whatever the sun hits a surreal brightness against the dark background. Such was the case on the way back from the pillow fight, when the PFC glowed like it was producing its own light.

Which is why I absolutely had to pull over and shoot it.

I’ve tried this angle once before, and it’s interesting to see the maturity in the shot between then, four years ago, and now.
