Allie, whose tattoo inspired this project, is my second tattoo triptych.
Can you see it? The letters in Allie’s tattoo? They read air.
Rotate it 90° to the right, however, and it’ll read earth.
Flip it 180° from how it is now, and it reads water.
And, if you haven’t guessed by now, one more 90° flip, and her tattoo reads fire.
An elemental ambigram. The damndest thing. I’d seen ambigrams before, but nothing so cool as that. And it inspired this project.
Even better? Tomorrow is Allie’s birfday. Happy birfday, Allie!
