Gotta mention their very cool venue, Morningside Estate, well-hidden off the Malahat and separated from paved road by about a kilometre of steep, hairpin, pothole-filled gravel madness.

But so worth it.

Worth it, apparently, for the folks from Canada’s Next Top Model (pardon my ignorance: I didn’t even know we had our own top model show) to spend some time shooting there.

Mind, they probably arrived by boat.

The estate has really cool doors from the bathing room (it ain’t a bathroom if there ain’t no loo, correct?) to the deck. They must’ve been thinking of me.

In a sniffle-inducing gesture, Janai’s grandparents’ wedding rings were sewn into her dress.

I met Janai through friend Simon, and have bumped into her here and there over many years. She’s always had an elegance to her which definitely shone during the wedding.
