When Santa dropped DJ Hero underneath the tree for me this Christmas, I just knew it’d be the perfect game for me, being a music/remix junkie and a have-wanted-to-try-it-all-my-life not-DJ*. I’ve played a lot of rhythm games in my time, and this pretty much tops the list.
But, as much as I love it, I thought it’d be an absolute crime if Bryan — an actual DJ — didn’t get it. Lo and behold, he did.
The idea was to get a shot of him rocking the turntables, but this shot won out for overall feel. Here’s the action shot:

I caught him at a good time, too. He’s slated to become a dad in a matter of days. =)
Also, for the curious, there’s no Photoshopical trickery with the sky here; check the Exif for the magic shutter/aperture/ISO/flash formula.
Special thanks to my invaluable Production Assistant, Tindy, who’s usually behind the scenes of my video shoots, catching all the details I miss. She actually “pulled the trigger” on the camera while I directed, ’cause my hands were otherwise occupied, um, holding the decks.
Yup, I’m half hugging around my camera to hold the turntables in place for Bryan ’cause I couldn’t find a tall enough table.
=)
