This is Jade’s latest tattoo. This bouquet is filed Jade’s and her three best friends’ favourite flowers.

The daffodil is Jade’s, the Lily is for her friend Meagan, the red pansy is for her friend Jessica, and the daisy in the centre is for a childhood friend who passed away.

Of the dandelions, Jade says, “while they are weeds, they remind me of long summers during my childhood, playing in the grass, making daisy chains.”

Jade has 14 tattoos. Each is special to her in its own way, starting with her first, a heart on her arm which says Jeremy, which she had done at age 16. Jeremy is Jade’s cousin, who is quadriplegic from a drinking and driving accident.

She also has my Zat below her left ear to commemorate her adoption into the Zone family.

And now, she has her flowers, which took four years to complete. Kinda. She wasn’t happy with the original work in 2010, and finally worked up the courage to go elsewhere to have it reworked and finished in 2014. The result (especially with the added sky blue) is vivid and personal.
